Ms. MARCELLA E. WOLL made a generous bequest to the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and directed the funds to support the search for a cure for macular degeneration, a condition she suffered from in her lifetime.
The MARYLAND E-NNOVATION INITIATIVE FUND (MEIF), administered by the Maryland Department of Commerce, offers a state match to private funds raised in support of endowed chairs at Maryland’s higher education institutions. The Marcella E. Woll Professorship was funded by a grant award from the Maryland E-Nnovation Initiative Fund to match the Marcella Woll Endowed Professorship, created by Ms. Woll’s bequest.
