Caroline Moreau

MoreauCarolineCAROLINE MOREAU, MD, PhD, MPH, is the William G. Robertson, Jr. Professor of Population and Family Planning Services. Dr. Moreau joins the Bloomberg School as assistant professor in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health. She is internationally recognized for her strong dedication to women’s sexual and reproductive health as well as her research, which has focused on advancing the understanding of contraceptive use patterns and their association with unwanted pregnancy and recourse to abortion.

Moreau received her medical degree at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris and earned a PhD in public health at Paris Sud University. She has led projects at the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) in France and at Princeton University before joining the Johns Hopkins faculty. She also served as co-principal investigator of the 2010-2011 French national survey on sexual and reproductive health, which explored sexual and reproductive health in relation to the social and medical factors that inform individuals’ attitudes and behaviors.
