David W. Eisele

EiseleDavidDAVID W. EISELE, MD, FACS, is the Andelot Professor of Laryngology and Otology. He directs the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and is a professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, anesthesiology critical care medicine, and oncology.

Dr. Eisele came to Johns Hopkins after serving as chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, where he held the Irwin Mark Jacobs and Joan Klein Jacobs Endowed Chair in Head and Neck Cancer, and directed the Head and Neck Oncology Program at the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Eisele was previously at Johns Hopkins from 1988 to 2001. He is past president of the American Head and Neck Society, a member of the NCCN Head and Neck Cancer Panel, and is a director of the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Eisele specializes in surgery for malignant and benign tumors of the head and neck, with special interest in salivary gland neoplasms and disorders, including sialendoscopy and other minimally invasive approaches, oral cavity cancers, and oropharyngeal cancers.
