Francis M. Giardiello

FRANCIS M. GIARDIELLO, the inaugural John G. Rangos Sr. Professor of Adult Medicine, is professor of medicine, oncology, and pathology. Dr. Giardiello participated in the discovery of the first colorectal cancer susceptibility gene mutation and is regarded as an authority in the polyposis syndromes. The many honors and awards recognizing his work include election to The Best Doctors in America and a Hopkins Alumni Association Award for Excellence in Teaching.
