Janet R. Serwint

SerwintJanetDr. JANET SERWINT is currently the Vice Chair of Pediatric Education and the Director of the Pediatric Residency Program. The Harriet Lane Residency Program, established in 1912, is the birthplace of American pediatric medicine, and in addition to leading the residents, Dr. Serwint’s research interests include healthcare issues of underserved populations and end of life issues. A general pediatrician by training, some of Dr. Serwint’s missions as director and vice chair are to ingrain compassionate care in all elements of pediatricians in training, involve and inspire more residents to conduct research and increase diversity for the field of pediatric medicine.
