Joel I. Brenner

JOEL I. BRENNER, the Helen B. Taussig Professor and a member of the Baltimore medical community for 30 years, joined Johns Hopkins faculty in 1999. He is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist who serves as the director of the Helen B. Taussig Children’s Heart Center at Hopkins and also directs pediatric cardiology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. His special interests include community-based specialty care delivery, fetal cardiology, and the epidemiology of congenital heart disease. The author or co-author of over 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles, Dr. Brenner has been listed five times among Baltimore’s top doctors. He was awarded the Helen B. Taussig Award in 1996 by the Maryland affiliate of the American Heart Association.
