Mitchell A. Orenstein

MITCHELL A. ORENSTEIN, the S. Richard Hirsch Professor of European Studies, joined the SAIS faculty in 2007. Dr. Orenstein is the author of three books, including Transnational Politics and the New Pension Reforms. In addition to serving as director of the Syracuse University Center for European Studies, he has taught political science at Brown and Yale universities, and served as a fellow at the Strengthening Democratic Institutions Project at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
