Timothy H. Moran

MoranTimothyTIMOTHY H. MORAN, A&S 1981 (MA), 1982 (PhD), the first Paul R. McHugh Professor of Motivated Behaviors, is director of research administration and vice chair and director of psychological sciences in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Moran investigates neural mechanisms of driven behaviors, developmental psychobiology, and brain/gut interactions in the control of food intake. He serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including Behavioral Neuroscience. A past associate editor of the American Journal of Physiology: Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology, Dr. Moran is also a past president of the Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior.
