Helen B. Taussig Professorship

Credited with founding the specialty of pediatric cardiology, HELEN B. TAUSSIG, Med 1927, developed with Alfred Blalock and Vivien Thomas the first surgical treatment of cyanotic congenital heart disease–the famous “blue baby” operation that ushered in the era of modern heart surgery for children.
