Peetz Family Professorship

KAREN PEETZ is Chief Administrative Officer at Citi. In this role, she oversees Citi’s Transformation Office, including its remediation efforts, Citi’s Regulatory Engagement globally, Business Risk & Controls and Data oversight. Previously, Ms. Peetz spent almost 20 years at BNY Mellon, ultimately becoming the President of the firm until her departure in 2016. While President, she oversaw the company’s global client management group, covering the firm’s top 500 clients worldwide; regional management (Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Latin America); and its treasury services business. She also led the company’s Human Resources, global innovation and regulatory oversight efforts.

Since retiring from BNY Mellon, Ms. Peetz has been active in various corporate and nonprofit boards, including Trane Technologies (formerly Ingersoll Rand), The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, Amherst Holdings, Johns Hopkins University and the Global Lyme Alliance.

Ms. Peetz is the former Chair of the Boards of United Way of New York City and Penn State University’s Board of Trustees.
