Established in 2008 by A. James Clark in honor of Benjamin T. Rome

RomeBenjaminBENJAMIN T. ROME  (1905-1994) graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1925 with a degree in civil engineering. He spent his entire career at the George Hyman Construction Company, where he and his uncle, George Hyman, expanded the company’s business until it was one of the region’s largest construction firms, building numerous landmarks in the nation’s capital.
