Boury Professorship in Molecular Biology & Genetics

School of Medicine

Established in 1937 by the estate of Louis J. Boury

LOUIS J. BOURY moved from Baltimore with his family when he was still a young boy. Many years later, Mr. Boury, who had become an important member of the New York Produce Exchange, remembered the town of his birth with a generous donation to Johns Hopkins–creating this professorship, as well as the Louis J. Boury Endowment Fund for Geography to support work in climatology and the geography of diseases, and the Louis J. Boury Endowment Fund for the Biological Sciences.
