MEREDITH C. MCCORMACK, MD, MHS is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She serves as Division Director and is an expert in asthma, COPD, and pulmonary physiology, having led the Johns Hopkins Pulmonary Function Laboratory and chaired the American Thoracic Society Pulmonary Function Test Committee.

A physician-scientist, Dr. McCormack directs the BREATHE Center and the Asthma Precision Medicine Center of Excellence, leading NIH- and EPA-funded research on environmental influences on asthma across the life course. Her work includes large-scale home, school, and community-based studies and interventions in collaboration with Baltimore City Schools, the Baltimore City Health Department, and the American Lung Association.

Dr. McCormack earned her BS in Biology from Duke University, MD from Jefferson Medical College, and MHS from the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and fellowship at Johns Hopkins. She is the recipient of the Frederick L. Brancati Excellence in Mentoring Award and the Susan MacDonald Sponsorship Award, and is dedicated to mentoring fellows and early-career faculty.
