Formerly the chairman of Chambers Development Company and vice-chair of the board for USA Waste Services, Inc., Mr. Rangos currently heads The John G. Rangos Sr. Charitable Foundation, the Medal of Honor Foundation, and the American Hellenic Information and Communications Group. In addition, he is the founding chairman and honorary lifetime president of the International Orthodox Christian Charities. A resident of Pittsburgh, he is on the boards of Carnegie-Mellon University, the Pittsburgh Opera, Duquesne University, and the University of Pittsburgh. His commitment to establish this professorship in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Gastroenterology will support new research initiatives in colon cancer.
