JEFFREY GRIGG, Ph.D., was a promising assistant professor and researcher at the School of Education who investigated issues such as early childhood experiences, student mobility, and social stratification. Through his appointments with the Baltimore Education Research Consortium and the STEM Achievement in Baltimore Elementary Schools partnership, where he formed partnerships with Baltimore City school and health officials, he focused on understanding how children’s early life experiences are related to school success. Jeff lost his life to a rare disease of the central nervous system in November of 2019. He was a valued colleague in the School of Education and admired by all who had the chance to get to know him.
